The objectives of this thesis are: 1) to study wrong views in Buddhism, 2) to study delusion in Buddhism, and 3) to analyze the correction of delusion as the foundation of wrong views in Buddhism. The data of this documentary qualitative study were collected from Buddhist scriptures, relevant texts and research papers. The results of the research were found that: In Buddhism, when the wrong view occurs to anyone, it will bring suffering to his life from now on and into the future. If the wrong view cannot be corrected, it will go so deep that it cannot be withdrawn and it is called Niyata Micchaditthi or permanent wrong view. This kind of wrong view is the root of the round of existences. The wrong view can be withdrawn by the principle of right view which occurs from 2 factors; 1) Paratoghosa or hearing and learning from others, and 2) Yonisomanasikara or systematic attention and analytical reflection. In Buddhism, delusion or Moha is one of unwholesome roots. Delusion is the main unwholesome causing other unwholesome to occur. Delusion has a more coarse meaning than ignorance. Delusion is difficult to get rid of because it is a blind mind. The results of any actions occurred from delusion can send the doers to the realm of the brute creation. The meaning of wrong view or Micchaditthi is shallower or rougher than the meaning of delusion or Moha because the wrong view is supported by delusion. The correction of delusions as the foundation of wrong views can be done by the 3 principles of wisdom divided into 4 systems; 1) Learning system or Sutamaya Panna, 2) Reasoning system or Cintamaya Panna, 3) Verifying system or Bhavanamaya Panna, and 4) Controlling system by mindfulness, clear comprehension and non-negligence.
