วิทยานิพนธ์นี้มีวัตถุประสงค์ คือ ๑) เพื่อศึกษาหลักสาราณียธรรมในพุทธปรัชญาเถรวาท, ๒) เพื่อศึกษาความรุนแรงในพุทธปรัชญาเถรวาท, และ ๓) เพื่อศึกษาหลักสาราณียธรรมเพื่อลดความรุนแรงในพุทธปรัชญาเถรวาท โดยใช้วิธีวิจัยเอกสาร คือ ศึกษาค้นคว้าจากคัมภีร์ทางพระพุทธศาสนา งานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง และตำราอื่นๆ ประกอบ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า สารณียธรรม ธรรมเป็นเหตุให้ระลึกถึงกันเป็นธรรมที่มีอุปการะมาก ทำให้เป็นที่รัก ทำให้เป็นที่เคารพ เป็นไปเพื่อความสงเคราะห์กัน เพื่อความไม่วิวาทกัน เพื่อความสามัคคีกัน เพื่อความเป็นอันเดียวกัน ความรุนแรงในพุทธปรัชญาเถรวาท หมายถึง การประทุษร้ายทางร่างกาย วาจา และทางจิตใจ ทั้งแก่ตนเองและบุคคลอื่นทีมีผลเป็นความทุกข์ความเดือดร้อน ความรุนแรงที่เกิดขึ้นมีอยู่ ๓ ระดับ คือ ความรุนแรงระดับเบา ระดับกลาง และระดับหนัก ส่วนสาเหตุของความรุนแรงเกิดจากต้นตอหรือรากเหง้าของกิเลสที่เรียกว่า อกุศลมูล คือ ราคะ โทสะ โมหะ ที่เป็นเหตุให้เกิดความทุกข์ ความเดือดร้อน หลักสาราณียธรรมเพื่อลดความรุนแรงในพุทธปรัชญาเถรวาท พบว่า หลักสาราณียธรรม ๖ คือ ธรรมเป็นที่ตั้งแห่งความให้ระลึกถึง ธรรมเป็นเหตุที่ระลึกถึงกันหลักการอยู่ร่วมกันเป็นไปเพื่อความสงเคราะห์ ความกลมกลืนเข้าหากัน เพื่อความไม่วิวาท เพื่อความสามัคคีและเอกภาพความเป็นอันหนึ่งอันเดียวกัน
This thesis serves the purposes: 1) to study the states of conciliation in Theravada Buddhist philosophy, 2) to study violence in Theravada Buddhist Philosophy, and 3) to study the states of conciliation for alleviate violence in Theravada Buddhist philosophy. It has been carried out with qualitative research methodology, of which its sources include The Tipitaka, relevant researches and other texts to supplement it. The results of the research were found that: Fairness refers to fairness as a cause for commendation. Make love Make a respect is for the welfare for no strife to unity for the same integrity. Violence in Theravada Buddhist philosophy refers to physical, verbal, and psychological harms both to oneself and to others as a result of suffering. There are three levels of violence: lighter intensity Intermediate and heavy. The cause of the violence is caused by the origin or the root of the passion, which is called sensuality, i.e., sensuality, anger, rationality that causes suffering. The main principle of sustenance to reduce violence in Theravada Buddhist philosophy is that the principle of the states of conciliation 6 is the place of remembrance. Dhamma is a remembrance of the principle of coexistence for the welfare. Harmony is for brawling for unity.
